American racing driver (1926-1956) who is best remembered for winning the 1955 Indianapolis 500, the 1955 National Championship, and the 1955 Midwest Sprint car championship, becoming the only driver in history to sweep all three in a single season; he died at age 30 after crashing a Sprint car at Salem Speedway. Uncommon vintage glossy 10 x 8 full-length photo of Sweikert smiling and seated inside a midget race car, signed in blue ballpoint, "Best Wishes, Bob Sweikert, Car #3 (1949)." In very good condition, with moderate overall creasing, small areas of old adhesive residue, and rippling to the edges from old mounting remnants on the reverse.
