Scarce wooden naval cannon with wheeled carriage, measuring 10.25 x 5.5 x 5.5, made from oak removed from the original 1794 hull of the USS Constitution, with descriptive plaque affixed to front reading: "This material was taken from the original hull of the U.S. frigate Constitution, keel laid 1794, rebuilding 1927." In fine condition. Accompanied by a photocopy of a June 2016 article from The Journal of Antiques and Collectibles which shows this very item.
