American post-war Texas blues and country blues musician (1914-1960) who was popular with record buyers in the South during the late 1940s and early 1950s; he was influenced by Big Bill Broonzy, Peetie Wheatstraw and Black Ace. DS, signed “Andrew Smokey Hogg,” one page, 8.5 x 12, January 22, 1951. Ben Waller's Enterprises Theatrical Agency contract in which Smokey Hogg agrees to perform at Elk's Ballroom in Los Angeles on January 28, 1951, for a sum of $50. Signed at the conclusion in black ink by Hogg. In fine condition.
