Description

Japanese theoretical physicist (1907-1981) who became the first Japanese Nobel laureate with the receipt of the 1949 Nobel Prize in Physics 'for his prediction of the existence of mesons on the basis of theoretical work on nuclear forces.' TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10, personal letterhead, April 7, 1950. Letter to Ken Browne, in part: "In going over the volume of mail and printed matter recently, I came across the photograph and letter which you sent me last November. I apologize for the oversight and neglect." In fine condition.
