Description

Sought-after fully signed 1972 Dark Side of the Moon tour program

Very rare original 1972 Pink Floyd UK 'show souvenir' program from their Dark Side of the Moon tour, six pages, 8.5 x 11, signed on the front cover in blue ballpoint by David Gilmour and Richard Wright, and in red ballpoint by Roger Waters, and signed on the back cover in blue felt tip by Nick Mason. The signatures don't overlap and can be easily displayed by just opening up the program. In very good to fine condition, with handling wear, intersecting folds, and Mason's signature a bit light. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA. The consignor notes that the program was signed at Guildhall, Portsmouth, England, on January 21, 1972—the first full live performance of Dark Side of the Moon. Pink Floyd performed Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety during this tour, testing the waters for its reception—the album wouldn't be released for over a year, on March 1, 1973. An amazing and immensely rare piece not just of Pink Floyd history, but of music history itself—Dark Side of the Moon would go on to become the longest charting album ever released, spending an unheard of 736 consecutive weeks (over 14 years) on Billboard's Top 200. A true Pink Floyd relic signed during a most pivotal period in the band’s history.
