French economist (1822-1912) and a joint winner (together with Henry Dunant) of the first Nobel Peace Prize awarded in 1901. Untranslated ALS in French, four pages on two adjoining sheets, 4 x 5, Chambre des Deputes letterhead, May 8, 1884. In fine condition.
