Description

German theoretical physicist (1901-1976) awarded the 1932 Nobel Prize in physics for the creation of quantum mechanics. TLS in German, signed “Heisenberg,” one page, 8.25 x 5.75, Max Planck Institute letterhead, January 22, 1951. Letter to Henri Corbiere, in full (translated): "Unfortunately, I do not know what I should write about you as a life maxim of mine. If you are interested in my views on more general questions of life and philosophy, most of them are in the lectures that I have published over the course of time under the title 'Changes in the Exact Natural Sciences.'" In fine condition.
