Description

Lover (1800-1873) of Lord Byron while he was living in Ravenna, Italy, who later wrote the biographical account Lord Byron's Life in Italy; Alexandre Dumas included her as a minor character in his novel The Count of Monte Cristo, using the disguised name 'Countess G—.' Untranslated ALS in French, signed “Guiccioli,” one page both sides, 4 x 5, blindstamped "CG" letterhead, no date. In fine condition.
