Scarce LS in French, signed "Robespierre," one page, 7.25 x 9.5, Comité de Salut Public letterhead, May 9, 1794. Letter to fellow revolutionary Louis Saint-Just. In full: "The Committee asks you to get information on Gigot [probably Andre Gigaux] General of the northern troops left wing. You are receiving a denunciation against him and, attached to that, a document of proof. You will handle this matter with prudence and justice." In very good condition, with scattered foxing, and some dampstaining along the left edge.
