ALS signed “Kelvin,” one page both sides, 4.5 x 7, University of Glasgow letterhead, March 23, 1898. Letter to Mr. Waugh, in full: "Many thanks for your letter telling me details as to the Athenaeum ballot of Monday, and for all the trouble you kindly took to help me. I am very glad both my friends were elected. Lady Kelvin joins in kind regards to you and Mrs. Waugh and I remain yours very truly." In fine condition.
