Description

TLS, one page, 7 x 10.25, personal letterhead, September 27, 1967. Letter to Harlowe Hardinge, in full: "Thank you for your cordial invitation to attend your exhibition in York. I truly regret that I cannot accept. However, Mrs. Eisenhower and I have long-standing commitments in Washington and Baltimore that will keep us away for almost a week. In any event, I appreciate your courtesy and am indeed sorry that I shall miss the opportunity to continue our conversation as well as view your work. Perhaps if you visit the Desert this winter we shall have better luck." In fine condition, with staple holes to the upper left corner.
