In the remarks field, Mingus writes: "I paid fifty five dollars for claim Teddy put against me for a suit. When I went to get my suit the tailor said it was not paid for. So I want half my money or his??" The lower section filled out by jazz composer and pianist Florence Cardiz: Date filed ("9-7-43"), Signed by ("Charles Mingus"), and Recording Sec'y ("Florence C.
