Description

English poet, author and soldier (1886-1967) who was decorated for bravery on the Western Front and became one of the leading poets of the First World War. ALS, one page, 5.5 x 7.5, Grand Hotel, Villa Politi Ai Cappuccini letterhead, March 22, 1930. In part: "The 'blue book' which you ask me about was printed at the same time as the red one, (in Nov. 1911) & combined, as far as I remember, 12 sonnets. I wish these little curiosities had more merit…Less than 50 copies were printed, so they are rare birds. I am very glad that you like my maturer productions. With all good wishes."
