Colorful original 1934 Quaker Oats advertising display, 19.75 x 30.75, for a campaign in which kids could redeem box tops of Puffed Rice and Puffed Wheat cereal for entries to win prizes. The display features an image of Babe Ruth saying, "Hey Kids! Join my baseball club—and win one of these swell prizes! Just mail your name and address with one Quaker Puffed Wheat or Rice box top to Babe Ruth’s Baseball Club P.O. Box 1083 - Chicago." A banner at the top reads: "Free! More than 1,000 Prizes Every Week, May 1st to July 15th 1934." Prizes depicted include a free trip to New York, free "'Babe' Ruth Home Run Special" baseballs, and free Ruth-model fielder's gloves. In very good condition, with staining, edge tears, and areas of surface loss.
