Uncommon porcelain coin bank in the shape of the Olympic Bell of the Berlin 1936 Summer Olympics, 4″ in diameter and 4″ in height, with coin slot to top, raised designs of the famed Brandenburg Gate and an eagle holding the Olympic rings on either side, and German text along lower rim: “11. Olympicsche, Spiele, Berlin, 1-16. August 1936.” Marked on bottom Erzeugnis der Porzellanstadt Selb. Includes the original bank key. The bank was modeled after the Olympic bell that hung at the Reichssportfeld in the Leder Tower. In fine condition. Accompanied by a Berlin 1936 Summer Games bisque medallion (believed to be Meissen) with Olympic Bell on one side and a raised design of the Reichssportfeld on the other, and is housed in a wooden container.
