ALS, one page, 5 x 8, The Players letterhead, May 18, 1927. Letter in his difficult to decipher hand to Mr. Davis, in part: “My greatest inspiration of life has been the lives and words of men, Americans and others, who…have stood for liberty, and…who have stood fast for that truth which is Beauty, and that Beauty which is truth.” In fine condition, with a uniform shade of mild toning.
