Vibrantly colored original painting of an early version of the Apollo 7 mission insignia, accomplished by Alan Stevens on an off-white 9 x 9 piece of artist’s cardstock, which is signed in black felt tip, “Close, but no cigar, Walt Cunningham, Apollo 7.” An artist for the Space Division of Rockwell International, Stevens designed the mission emblems for Apollo missions 1, 7, 9, and 10. In fine condition, with scattered light soiling and toning.
