TLS signed “Dick Nixon,” one page, 8.5 x 11, Office of the President-Elect letterhead, December 9, 1968. Letter to Pennsylvania Congressman Edwin D. Eshleman, in full: "Thank you for your letter of November 18 and enclosed copies of the Stiegel News containing the banner headline 'Nixon Wins.' I am happy to autograph these newspapers for Messrs. Fornoff and Sanko and ask that you forward them to your constituents. Also convey my appreciation for their faith in the President-Elect." In fine condition, with scattered light creasing, and light show-through from an old mounting remnant on the reverse. An appealing offering given the decidedly uncommon "President-Elect" letterhead—a month earlier Nixon ousted Hubert Humphrey and George Wallace in the presidential election of 1968.
