Description

Distinguished matte-finish 9.5 x 13 portrait of Coolidge by Harris & Ewing of Washington D.C., signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To J. Butler Wright, with regards, Calvin Coolidge.” Lower left bears the photography studio blindstamp. In very good condition, with light soiling, small stains, some silvering, and six tack holes to the image, one of which is evident on Coolidge's forehead. Wright was a United States diplomat who served as the Assistant Secretary of State under President Coolidge in 1925.
