First baseman and college football star (1929-1955) who played two seasons with the Boston Red Sox before tragically passing from a pulmonary embolism. Scarce vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of Agganis finishing a swing in his Red Sox uniform, signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint, "To Bobby, Best Regards, Harry Agganis.” In very good condition, with overall pitting and surface impressions, and old masking tape along the top and bottom edges.
