Description

Color glossy 20 x 16 composite photo of the STS-61-B crew and various images from their nearly seven-day mission, featuring a flown embroidered mission patch affixed to right portion, with the photo signed in black felt tip by Brewster Shaw, Woody Spring, Jerry L. Ross, Bryan O'Connor, Mary Cleave, and Charlie Walker, with an inscription in silver ink to upper left: "To Nancy Gunter—with thanks for your great support, from the crew of 61-B!" The photo bears an affixed caption below the inscription, which reads: "This patch was flown aboard the Space Shuttle 'Atlantis,' (STS 61-B), November 26-December 3, 1985." Affixed to the original same-size mount, which is signed and inscribed on the reverse in black felt tip by Spring: "Nancy—Thanks for all your and support, Woody." In fine condition, with some wear to edges. Nancy Gunter worked at NASA's Kennedy Space Center from 1964 to 2005, first serving as the secretary for launch director Walter Kapyran before eventually becoming the manager of the astronaut office.
