Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “Woodrow Wilson, Governor,” one page, 23.25 x 17.5, July 5, 1911. As governor of New Jersey, Wilson appoints Walter Lester Glenney as "a Counsellor at Law." Signer at the conclusion by Governor Wilson and countersigned by New Jersey's Secretary of State S. D. Dickinson. The two crisp blue seals affixed to the left side remain fully intact. Framed to an overall size of 26.75 x 21. In fine condition, with moderate overall rippling. Walter L. Glenney went on to become a prominent attorney in New York and argued several cases before the US Supreme Court. Wilson's addition of "Governor" to his signature is rather unusual, making this a particularly desirable document.
