Description

Miller writes on prose and painting, referencing Tropic of Capricorn

ALS, one page, 8.5 x 11, "February 6th or 7th," [no year]. Letter to Jack Hines, in part: "If all the paintings are not there yet they will be in a day or two—everything was sent…I wrote George Laite to send you the Capricorn record. I wish I could send you the book—but don't have any copies except one. Is that your wife whose photo you sent? If not, she ought to be. I could swear I saw her somewhere—maybe in a dream. Do you have a copy of that book Porter published for me—'Semblance of a Devoted Past'? If not, I'll send you one. It might be goof to have at the show—it's about painters & painting." In fine condition, with file holes to the left edge.
