Letter to his close friend, the French poet Alfred de Vigny, in full (translated): "I read, I approve and I shake your hand. Believe me with all my support, sir and dear colleague. From the bottom of my heart." In fine condition. This letter may date to 1845, when de Vigny was elected to the Academie francaise after several failed attempts.
