The flag is affixed to its original 11 x 14 Space Flight Awareness Team Award certificate, in part: "This flag flew on the Space Shuttle Discovery, flight STS-92, launched from Kennedy Space Center on October 11, 2000. It is presented in recognition of your contributions, under extraordinary schedule restraints, to the innovation and development of new simulations to predict the independent behavior of the Orbiter, the External Tank, and the attach bolt during separation for the STS-92 Launch."
