Description

Partly-printed vellum DS as president, signed “M. Van Buren,” one page, 11.5 x 14.5, November 24, 1837. Scallop-topped ship's paper issued to "the Brig Cambrian, Barnabus Smith master or commander." Crisply signed at the conclusion by President Van Buren and boldly countersigned by Secretary of State John Forsyth. In very good to fine condition, with a missing seal, light toning along the intersecting folds, and a tear to the upper left edge.
