Description

World War II-dated FDC with a cachet honoring General Douglas MacArthur and a small affixed portrait of the general saluting, neatly signed in fountain pen. Cover also bears an April 15, 1942, postmark from MacArthur, West Virginia, and three wartime postage stamps promoting industry and agriculture “for defense.” In fine condition, with overall light toning, two spots of soiling to lower edge, and one trivial crease to upper edge.
