Brown double-breasted cutaway coat, worn on screen by Richard Dix in his role as Roger Standish in the 1932 western The Conquerors. The brown wool coat, size 44, features shoulder pads and an olive green satin lining, with the collar area marked “Char” and bearing a Western Costume Company stamp and a “Cutaway Double, #502” stamp. The right cuff bears an affixed slip, numbered: “48, 21.” With the exception of loose stitching to hem and fraying to back of collar, the outside of coat is in fine condition; the inner lining is loose and partially torn near collar and seams. An attractive period coat worn by the Oscar-nominated leading man.
