Official typed authorization document, in full: "I hereby authorize Charles S Murphy, Special Counsel to the President, to administer oaths required for entrance upon employment in the Executive Branch of the Government of the United States." In fine condition, with a light stain to the left edge, and light creasing to the corners. Accompanied by an unsigned engraved portrait.
