Brush in Brooklyn, in part: "I greatly appreciate the election as an honorary member of U.S. Grant Post No. 327, G.A.R. General Tanner came in to see me and gave me the beautiful button that marks membership in your post. I value very much the friendship of the members of your post who stood by me when I needed them." In fine condition, with three small old tape stains in the signature area. Accompanied by an unsigned engraved portrait.
