Austrian actor (1910-1973) best known for his role as Sgt. Schultz on the Nazis-as-lovable-clowns sitcom Hogan's Heroes. Banner himself, a Jew, was transported to a concentration camp during World War II and released before the Nazis' wide-scale extermination policies were implemented. Vintage matte-finish 5 x 7 photo of Banner as Master Sergeant Schultz in Hogan's Heroes, signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint, "To Ronald Wilson, best wishes, John Banner.” In fine condition, with a few light creases.
