Sought-after pair of personalized bookplates for President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, designed and crafted during their time in the White House. The JFK bookplate measures 3.25 x 4.5 and prominently features an embossed presidential seal with his full name below, “John Fitzgerald Kennedy”; the more delicate Jackie bookplate measures 2.75 x 3.75 and features a vase with floral bouquet, with initials “JK” on the base, and her full name below, “Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy.” In overall very fine condition. Consignor notes that the bookplates originate from the collection of Mary Gallagher, the former personal secretary to Mrs. Kennedy from 1957 to 1964.
