Six items, comprising five TLSs and a signed photo: a 1957 TLS to Priscilla A. Cameron, in part: “You are advised your resignation as a Clerk-Typist in the Federal Bureau of Investigation is being accepted…In accordance with your request, an autographed photograph is being forwarded to you under separate cover,” plus the referenced photograph, a vintage matte-finish 6.5 x 8.5 Fabian Bachrach portrait of Hoover in a seated half-length pose, affixed to the original 9 x 11 mount, and signed and inscribed on the mount in fountain pen, “To Priscilla & William Cameron, Best wishes, J. Edgar Hoover, 11.22.57”; three TLSs to Richard Sause, dated from 1951-1954, concerning his position as a “Special Agent”; and a 1971 TLS to Richard B. Lee, congratulating him on 25 years of service, in part: “You have shared materially in aiding the Bureau to successfully discharge many of its undertakings.” In overall very good to fine condition, with light foxing to the photo's mount, and a thin strip of paper residue at the top of the mount which could be easily matted out if desired.
