Description

TLS signed “Uncle Ike,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, February 12, 1961. Letter to Marge and Lowell B. Eisenhower in Los Angeles, in part: "Mamie and I greatly appreciated your warm note of welcome to California. The change of pace from the snowy east to bright sunshine and temperatures in the 70s may very well prolong our stay. In any event, we are looking forward to a restful and relaxing vacation in this ideal climate. I was interested in learning more about your work with Librascope, Lowell. At the present time I am not planning to be in L.A., but should an opportunity be presented, you may be certain that your offer will be kept in mind." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, which bears a facsimile free frank. Librascope was an early manufacturer of computers sold in both the business and defense markets.
