Fifteenth child (1783-1810) of King George III and Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz who died at the age of 27. ALS signed “Amelia,” three pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.5 x 7.25, 1808. Letter to Mrs. Robert Williams, in part: "I have just received a letter from my brother Ernest to beg I will request Captain Williams to give his vote to Mr. Robert Thornton as Deputy Chairman at the India House. Ernest wishes Captain Williams would send his answer directed to His Royal Highness the Duke of Cumberland St. James's Palace that he may know as soon as he can whether this request can be granted." Affixed to a larger scrapbook page. In very good to fine condition, with scattered light foxing, and a square slip of paper affixed to the lower right corner of the signed page. Accompanied by an engraved portrait of Princess Amelia removed from a book, also affixed to a scrapbook page. Amelia's brother, Ernest Augustus, would reign as King of Hanover from 1837 to 1851.
