Description

A framed original color 14 x 20 American World War II propaganda poster from 1942, depicting the hand of Uncle Sam over a man's mouth, reading, "Quiet! Loose Talk Can Cost Lives." Lower border reads, in part: "Distributed in the interest of national defense, and as a means of obtaining funds for ambulances wherever needed." Plus a collection of seven books related to WWII aviation, including: two copies of Return of the Enola Gay, both hardcover with dust jacket, each signed on the frontispiece in felt tip by the pilot, "Paul Tibbets, 9-21-02"; The Vanishing Paperclips: America's Aerospace Secret, hardcover with dust jacket, signed inside in ballpoint by the author, a German aerospace engineer who came to America in Operation Paperclip, "With best wishes, Hans H. Amtmann"; and unsigned hardcover copies of the Aeronautical Chamber of Commerce of America's annual Aircraft Year Book for the years 1940, 1941, 1942, and 1943 (two with dust jackets). In overall very good to fine condition.
