Tyler dispatches the "Zephyr" on a Pacific whaling voyage

Partly-printed DS as president, signed “J. Tyler,” one page, 20.75 x 16, June 14, 1843. Four-language ship’s paper issued to "Thomas F. Smith, master or commander of the Ship called Zephyr…lying at present in the port of New Bedford, bound for Pacific Ocean and laden with Provisions, Stores and Utensils for a whaling voyage." Prominently signed in the center by President Tyler and countersigned by Secretary of State Daniel Webster. The white paper seal affixed at the center remains fully intact. In fine condition, with a couple of small tears to the bottom edge, and light toning to the side edges.
