Uncommon miniature King Albert I merit medal issued in honor of the Antwerp 1920 Summer Olympics, 3 gm, 12.5 mm x 19 mm, with original red-and-white striped ribbon. The front shows King Albert I in profile with the text, “Albert Roi des Belges”; the reverse depicts the Coat of Arms of Belgium with the text, “VIIth Olympiad, Anvers 1920.” These medals were presented to members of the Belgian and foreign Royal families, members of the international and Belgian Olympic Committee, official representatives of competing nations, as well as to various officials and Belgian prize-winners at the Games.
