Vintage circa 1963 4.5 x 2.5 newspaper photo of the Beatles playing in the studio, signed in blue ballpoint by Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, and in red ballpoint by George Harrison. In fine condition, with a short slice to lower right edge. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the original recipient, in part: "I collected these autographs of Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr on the 4th June 1963. That night I attended a show at Birmingham Town Hall, Birmingham, United Kingdom that was billed to be headlined by Roy Orbison…This was at a time when many tours were headlined by big US stars but by the time the tour started both The Beatles and Gerry and the Pacemakers, who were also on the bill, had massive number one hits in the UK and the country was going mad for the ‘Mersey sound,’ so the bill was switched around…I collected the three Beatles autographs on this picture at the stage door as The Beatles arrived before the show.”
