Elie Metchnikoff

Russian biologist and zoologist (1845-1916) best known for his pioneering research into the immune system for which he was awarded the 1908 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Untranslated ALS in French, one page, 4.5 x 6.75, Pasteur Institute letterhead, May 14, 1906. In fine condition, with two areas of toning along the left edge.
