Sought-after flown Texas flag carried on the Apollo 13 mission, 5.5 x 3.75, affixed to its original 9.5 x 11.5 mount, signed and inscribed on the mount in black felt tip by two members of the crew, "To Senator & Mrs. Bridges, With best wishes, James Lovell" and "Jack Swigert." Also bears an autopen signature of Fred Haise. The mount features the Apollo 13 insignia and reads: "This flag was on board Apollo XIII during its flight and emergency return to Earth, Apollo XIII, April 11-17, 1970, Lovell - Swigert - Haise." Framed and in fine condition, with overall toning and toned areas from adhesive to corners of the flag. The 'Senator Bridges' this was presented to must have been Ronald W. Bridges, who was representing District 20 in the Texas State Senate at the time of Apollo 13. In addition to being one of America's proudest states, Texas is home to NASA's Manned Spacecraft Center, the scene of much of the on-the-ground heroics that helped to bring the Apollo 13 crew home safely following Swigert's iconic words, 'Houston, we've had a problem.'
