Description

Confederate general (1806-1878) best remembered for his poor performance at the Battle of Fort Donelson. Scarce 2.5 x 4 carte-de-visite portrait of Pillow, signed in the lower border in black ink, "Gid. J. Pillow." Published by Webster & Bro., of Louisville, Kentucky. In very good to fine condition, with two light semicircular surface impressions in blank areas.
