Description

Attractive color 18 x 24 artist proof screen print of Circle Jerks frontman Keith Morris as he was originally photographed by Glen Friedman during a 1981 live performance, with song titles and the cover to Golden Shower of Hits as the background. Signed in the lower border by Morris, Friedman, and by the artist, Shepard Fairey, an influential contemporary street artist best known for his Obey clothing line and his 2008 Barack Obama 'Hope' poster design. In fine condition, with a small tear to bottom edge, near but not affecting Morris's signature. Morris collaborated with Fairey on the design and color scheme for this print; the background includes several of Morris's favorites songs from his three legendary punk and hardcore groups—Black Flag, Circle Jerks, and Off!—and the print's vibrant color was inspired by the work of Rick Griffin and John Van Hamersveld.
