Description

United States Air Force four-star general (1921-1990) who served as Director of NASA's Apollo Manned Lunar Landing Program from 1964 to 1969, the seventh Director of the National Security Agency from 1972 to 1973, and as Commander, Air Force Systems Command (COMAFSC) from 1973 to 1975. Color vintage matte-finish 13.5 x 10.5 photo of the deployment of scientific experiments on the lunar surface during Apollo 11, signed and inscribed in white ink, "To Fred Stout with thanks from the Apollo Team for your dedicated efforts which did so much to make the Manned Lunar Landing in this Decade a reality—Apollo 11, July 20, 1969, Sam C. Phillips.” In fine condition, with light toning from prior display.
