Signed book: The Man Without a Country. Later printing. Boston: Little, Brown, and Company, 1904. Hardcover, 4.5 x 7, 59 pages. Signed and inscribed on the first free end page in ink, "Brayton Nichols, Remember, my dear boy, that you have a Country. Be ready to die for her—and until then be sure always to live for her, Edward E. Hale, Oct. 16, 1907." In fine condition, with light soiling and scuffing to the covers.
