Series 1953 B two dollar bill, prominently signed in black felt tip by Warhol. In fine condition. Emile de Antonio had been pressuring Eleanor Ward to give Warhol a show at her Stable Gallery in New York. According to Warhol, the three of them met and, after de Antonio asked Ward if she was going to take Warhol on, she took out a two dollar bill and said, ‘Andy, if you can paint me this, I’ll give you a show.’ Not long after Warhol produced a series of dollar bill paintings and was granted a show in the fall of 1962.
