Description

Striking set of three original vintage color glossy 10 x 8 red-numbered NASA photos of the lunar rover on the moon’s surface during the Apollo 16 mission, with images including: a distant shot of the rover being driven on the lunar horizon, with the shadow of the LM in the foreground; an astronaut taking a soil sample near a large crater, the rover seen idling near the rim; and a close-up image of a sample container, with the rover visible in the background among a field of lunar rocks. Reverse of each photo bears “A Kodak Paper” watermarks. In overall fine condition. From the collection of Dan Schaiewitz, who worked as Extravehicular Crew Training Engineer at KSC.
