Allied Military Currency issued in Italy in 1943 for 10 lire, 3 x 2.5, boldly signed in fountain pen by the author, "John Steinbeck." In fine condition, with light staining along the right border. In 1943, Steinbeck served as an overseas World War II war correspondent for the New York Herald Tribune.
