Allan McLeod Cormack

South African-American physicist (1924-1998) who won the 1979 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, along with Godfrey Hounsfield, for his work on X-ray computed tomography. Article from Science Magazine, Vol. 209, September 1980, 8.25 x 11, five pages, entitled "early Two-Dimensional Reconstruction and Recent Topics Stemming From it," signed and inscribed on the first page in black felt tip, "Dennis Nachtrieb, from, Allan Cormack." In fine condition, with some light creases.
