Two vintage matte-finish photos of Maurice Chevalier: a 10.5 x 13.5 close-up portrait of Chevalier wearing a tilted cap, signed and inscribed in white ink, “To Francis Lederer, who deserves everything, Maurice Chevalier”; and an 11 x 14 close-up portrait of a smiling Chevalier, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To—Joe Brown, Beaucoup good wishes, Maurice Chevalier.” In overall fine condition, with the Lederer photo trimmed and mounted to a sheet of heavy cardstock. Lederer was an Austrian-born film and stage actor remembered for his performances in Midnight (1939) and The Diary of Anne Frank (1958).
